NHS Pharmacy Services

We offer a range of Private pharmacy services from our Pharmacy on Hale Lane, Edgeware and are conveniently located for customers in Highwood Hill, Broadfields, Mill Hill, Burnt Oak and Cannons Park. The NHS offers free pharmacy services to all eligible patients, ensuring access to essential medications and expert advice without any cost.
These services include prescription dispensing, the new medicine service, flu vaccinations, blood pressure checks, the nhs contraceptive service, disposal of medicines and emergency supply of medicines. With the NHS's support, individuals can receive the necessary healthcare they need without worrying about financial barriers.
Blood Pressure Check
If you are over 40 and not on any blood pressure medication you can have a free NHS blood pressure check. This is important to prevent heart disease and strokes. To qualify, the patient must not have previously been identified as having hypertension or a related condition.

COVID-19 Vaccination
Protect yourself from COVID-19 with our NHS or private vaccination service. It’s suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over and is available in our pharmacy.
Emergency Dispensing
Our emergency dispensing provides key information and also dispensing medication during emergencies, such as out of hours or pandemics. This crucial service ensures that patients have access to necessary medications when traditional pharmacies may be closed or inaccessible.
Flu Vaccination Services
Book or manage a free or private NHS flu vaccination. If you're aged 65 years old or over before the end of next march, you can book a free flu vaccine. If you're aged 18 to 64 years old, you can book a free flu vaccine if you have certain medical conditions or are pregnant.
Minor Aliments Service
Want a quick and convenient way to see a health care professional, without having to wait for an appointment with your GP? Our pharmacists are trained to provide the Minor Ailment Service to all our customers. We can deal with illnesses such as a cold, diarrhoea and conjunctivitis without an appointment.
NHS Contraception Service
We offer a comprehensive Contraception Service where our trained pharmacists provide consultations and access to birth control methods. We are dedicated to promoting safe and accessible family planning options for our community. Stop by and see how we can help you with your contraceptive needs.

When you are prescribed a new medicine by your doctor our pharmacists can offer support and advice to ensure you take the new medication as prescribed without suffering any unwanted side effects or explain any further questions you may have. We keep in contact with you for the first few weeks.
Prescription Delivery Service
If you find it difficult to get to the pharmacy and you live locally you can have your prescription delivered to your door by using our Free Prescription Delivery Service. This service is open to all eligible patients in the surrounding areas, please contact us for more info.

Smoking Cessation
We provide a face-to-face stop smoke service giving regular support for 12 weeks and advice to help you quit. This also includes the provision of Nicotine Replacement Therapy or Varenicline ( Champix ) dependant on suitability for up to 12 weeks.
